Arsenal went down thanks to Declan Rice’s first West Ham goal - in a tight affair at the London Stadium.

It was Arsenal’s third defeat from four away games and Emery is worried by the trend.

“It is disappointing,” he said on Sky Sports.

“It is a concern. We need to be competitive both home and away.

“Away we are not taking the results we want. We had to do more today to impose ourselves.

“If we can be better in the 90 minutes - competitive and quality - we can do it.

“We lost the ball a lot in the middle. We could improve in the second, but their goal changed the game.

“They did good work in defence.”

Arsenal are now in danger of dropping to sixth place with Manchester United only three points behind them and playing tomorrow.

However Emery insists he is happy with his players but did say the club were working on transfers.

“We have good players,” he said.

“We need to continue to working and taking confidence.

“The club is working but I am happy with the players. It is a bad result but we continue in our way.”

Arsenal are in talks to sign Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona and also want a defender
