Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard is attracting the attention of Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants joining Arsenal among the clubs reportedly monitoring the Frenchman.

Edouard has enjoyed an exceptional season for the Scottish champions, firing 28 goals in 45 matches in all competitions, and reports suggest Zinedine Zidane has become a fan of the young striker (via Defensa Central).

Cesc Fabregas admits he left Arsenal too soon

Cesc Fabregas has reflected on his decision to leave Arsenal for Barcelona back in 2011, admitting that he left the Gunners two years too early.

The Spanish midfielder, now at Monaco in Ligue 1, spoke of his growing frustration at Arsenal’s inability to compete for top honours at the time, but expressed regret at the way his departure came about.

“It was a bit of everything,” Fabregas told Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel ‘FIVE’ when asked why he left the Gunners. “I always felt that we were competing against the world. Let’s say you guys [Manchester United], Chelsea, sometimes Liverpool.

“I speak to guys at Chelsea and my Spanish friends at Liverpool and everyone tells me the same… 'we used to hate playing against you guys'. And I say the same: 'Yeah, you used to hate it, but we always lost'. Especially in important moments.

“I took the chance but earlier than I would’ve wanted. I just felt it was the right time. My brain was a little bit gone. Deep down, thinking now, I think I should’ve waited two more years.”

David Luiz reveals desire to finish career at Benfica

Arsenal defender David Luiz has spoke about his desire to finish his career with Benfica as the Brazilian nears the last 12 months of his contract with the North London club.

The 33-year-old played for the Portuguese side between 2007 and 2011 before making the move to Chelsea. Luiz signed for the Gunners last summer, but has struggled to make much of a positive impression for his new team.

“'I always said that I would like to end my career at Benfica,” Luiz told Benfica’s official site (via Goal). In football everything changes, what is true today, tomorrow is a lie, but my feeling is not.

“I love Benfica. My dream is to step on the pitch of Estadio da Luz in their colours. For all that I lived and felt, for what Benfica is in my life and in my history, for everything, Benfica is bigger than any player.”
