Former Liverpool defender Phil Babb insists it is too early to start comparing the current Reds team with Arsenal's Invincibles side from 2004.

But with Liverpool on course to claim a first title since the inception of the Premier League in 1992, some people are already making comparisons with the Arsenal side that went a whole season unbeaten under Arsene Wenger.

And Babb believes they are the two fixtures that will really test Liverpool's unbeaten run.

“If you want to call them invincibles, then it has to come over a full league season – they’re 17 games away from it and it’s a challenge I’m sure they’ll relish.

Jurgen Klopp's men currently sit top of the Premier League with 20 wins and one draw from 21 matches, with the Reds unbeaten in the top flight in more than one year.

However, Babb believes the time to judge Liverpool's class of 2020 will be at the end of the season, with 17 games currently between them and matching the feat of the Arsenal side of 2004.
