Arsenal are reportedly ready to snub Yannick Carrasco in order to prioritise signing Bournemouth star Ryan Fraser this summer, but is this the right move?

However, if Arsenal aren’t willing to take many risks this summer, Fraser appears to be the better option.

The Gunners have been linked with a swoop for Belgian Carrasco in recent weeks, with the international forward keen to leave Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang to move back to Europe this summer.

Fraser scored seven goals for Bournemouth last season while also assisting 14 across the campaign, while Carrasco’s £25million fee may be what is putting the London club off.

Having scored just seven goals in 25 Chinese Super League games last season, Carrasco hardly lit the world alight in a far inferior league competition, which isn’t promising.

Unai Emery seemed to be keen on the winger, who previously starred for Atletico Madrid, however Mirror Sport claim that Scotland international Fraser is now higher on Arsenal’s list of targets than the 25-year old Belgian.

Although Carrasco is the bigger name player, having scored in a Champions League final for Atletico Madrid, his ability to settle in the Premier League is uncertain.
