Arsenal are reportedly set to turn down a move for Yannick Carrasco as they prioritise a bid to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser this summer.

Carrasco has confirmed he wants to leave Dalian Yifang after a one-and-a-half year spell in the Chinese Super League and Arsenal have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old.

Dalian are willing to part with Carrasco for a fee of around £25million and Arsenal maintain a strong interest in the Belgian, but Unai Emery also has his eye on a player closer to home.

According to The Daily Mirror, Fraser, 25, is much higher than Carrasco on the Gunners’ shortlist of targets after an outstanding season in the Premier League.

Fraser scored seven goals for mid-table Bournemouth last term and was only behind Eden Hazard in the assists chart with a tally of 14 across the campaign.

The Scotland international, who is tied into a contract at Dean Court until 2020, is available for around £30m this summer.

Despite Arsenal’s interest, Fraser expects to be a Bournemouth player when the 2019/20 season begins.

‘The likelihood is I will be at Bournemouth for another year,’ Fraser said.

‘And what will happen, will happen.

‘That is all I can really say about it. No one has really spoken to me about it.’

Carrasco, meanwhile, has made no secret of his desire to return to Europe in the coming months.

He said: ‘Everyone knows I want to return to Europe. Now it depends on my president and I hope a solution is found.
