Arsenal say the players spotted in a video obtained by the Sun newspaper which appears to show them using nitrous oxide will be reminded of their responsibilities.

The Arsenal players involved did not do anything illegal and why it has taken so long for the footage to appear is unclear, but the north London club insist the players involved will all be spoken to.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi were also in the video, which was filmed during a night which was off-limits to the public, but they are not seen using the nitrous oxide, otherwise known as laughing gas.

In CCTV footage which has been obtained by the Sun, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, Sead Kolasianc and Matteo Guendouzi are all spotted inhaling what is believed to be nitrous oxide from balloons.

The incident - which took place in the summer before the start of the season - happened at the Tape nightclub in London where several Arsenal stars were enjoying a night out.

A spokesman said: "The players will be spoken to about this and reminded of their responsibilities as representatives of the club."
