Arsenal are planning to offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new and improved deal to keep him at the club after reports emerged that he has received staggering offers to move to China.

Reports from last week claimed that the Gabonese striker was offered £300,000-a-week to move to the Far East as he enters the final two years on his current contract at the Emirates.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners are looking to fend off any interest for their star man and will offer him an improved deal to keep him at the club beyond 2021.

Guangzhou Evergrande and Shanghai SIPG are the two clubs who have been linked with the former Borussia Dortmund man and will are looking to give him a big payday to move to the Chinese Super League.

Aubameyang, who turns 30 next Tuesday, is thought to be earning £190,000-a-week with the Gunners and will be in a good position to demand a bump in pay following his stellar season in front of goal.

He ended the campaign by sharing the Premier League Golden Boot after scoring 22 goals while helping Arsenal finish as Europa League runners-up.

Arsenal are also looking to tie Aubameyang's strike partner Alexandre Lacazette down to a new deal, too.

The Frenchman has attracted interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but it seems manager Unai Emery is intent on keeping him at the club beyond the summer.

The lethal strike duo had a combined return of 50 goals and 21 assists in all competitions last season as Arsenal finished fifth in the table.
