Arsene Wenger fears Manchester United's current crop of youngsters lack the potential to emulate the club's celebrated class of '92.

After missing out on Champions League qualification last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has jettisoned the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, placing his faith in a group of emerging young talent.

Wales winger Daniel James, a summer signing from Swansea, has made an outstanding start to his United career with three goals in four matches, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka looks an astute piece of business, even at £50million.

Scott McTominay, Mason Greenwood and Angel Gomes are all likely to be given further opportunities to impress but with just one win in four matches this season Solskjaer is already under pressure and Wenger fears the weight of expectancy could have a detrimental impact on United's young players.

'When you see Man United they are one of the examples where there is a potential there,' he told beIN Sports.

Maybe these players are not mature enough to carry the team play of a team like Man United all together.
