Emmanuel Adebayor has no intention of trying to win over Arsenal fans, as he is still winding them up 10 years on from his infamous goal celebration for Manchester City against the Gunners.

Adebayor left Arsenal for City in July 2009 after four seasons with the north London side, having scored 62 goals for the club.

If any were feeling forgiving towards Adebayor, they may have changed their mind after the forward posted a picture of the celebration on Instagram on the 10 year anniversary of the event.

Predictably the post drew plenty of abuse from Arsenal fans, with one suggesting the celebration was the greatest achievement of his career, to which Adebayor replied: 'Money, cars, bank account, that's what I came to Europe for.

After the match in 2009, Adebayor told the Sun: 'I scored and wanted to show people it is not a good idea to abuse me.

Adebayor always felt the abuse from Arsenal fans was unjustified, explaining that it was Gunners boss Arsene Wenger who wanted to sell him rather than him pushing for a move.

If you were to abuse a man in the street for over an hour he would react and it would be a worse reaction than a goal celebration.
