Arsenal have been handed a welcome injury boost as Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin took part in full training ahead of the Gunners' trip to Watford.

The new players, the young players, the players who have been with us for a lot of time.

The full-back pair were originally expected back in training at the end of September, but the duo have returned ahead of schedule and could push for first team football in several weeks.

"We’ve lost some important players, for example Nacho Monreal and Koscielny, and in the last moment Mkhitaryan and Iwobi.

We are getting young players and giving them chances to do one step more with us, getting that performance in the way we demand.

However, Unai Emery has been boosted by the return to full fitness of Rob Holding, who could challenge David Luiz or Sokratis for a place in the side.

The former Bolton centre back suffered a serious knee injury against Manchester United last season but has built up his match fitness in recent Under-23 matches and has returned to full training.
