Arsenal fans were celebrating today after the club tweeted out reminding them it had been 21 years since Freddie Ljungberg had joined the club.

The Swede joined the north London side from Swedish side Halmstad for a fee believed to be £3m.



The Gunners legend enjoyed a good time at the club, contributed more than 100 goals in more than 320 games for the club.



He was well decorated during his time at the club as well, winning six major honours including the 2003/2004 Premiership title, where Arsenal went the full campaign unbeaten.

The Sweden international is now part of manager Unai Emery’s coaching staff at the club as he replaced former assistant manager Steve Bould, who took up the role of under-23 coach.

Arsenal fans were full of love after being reminded of Ljungberg signing for the club as they took to Twitter in celebration.
