Kieran Tierney has surprised a young supporter with a signed Arsenal shirt after his original strip was allegedly ruined by bullies.

Jack Staniard, a 15-year-old from Lanarkshire, had his £75 Gunners strip burned by cigarettes, The Scottish Sun report.

The left-back has been struggling with injury since he signed for the club, though Arsenal shared pictures of Tierney in training earlier this week to suggest he is close to making his long-awaited debut for the north Londoners.

I’m a fan of both Arsenal and Tierney.

“I heard you’re a big Arsenal fan which we truly appreciate and thank you for your support.” Police confirmed a 15-year-old boy was charged in connection with the attack on Jack, which occurred last month.

Tierney, the former Celtic star who joined Arsenal for £25million earlier this year, also sent a letter to Jack to offer the teen his and Arsenal’s ‘best wishes’.

Tierney has not yet played for Arsenal since his summer move down south, though Gooners may see him in action before too long.
