Manchester United and Liverpool target Milan Skriniar has extended his contract at Inter until June 2023.

Milan Skriniar has signed a contract extension which will keep him at Inter until 2023

Skriniar had attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool

Skriniar was signed by the Milan club from Sampdoria in 2017 for £20million, in a deal which saw striker Gianluca Caprari move in the opposite direction. The club reportedly now value the defender at £80million.

His contract was originally due to expire in 2022, but his agent Mithat Halis helped fuel speculation by claiming earlier in the season by claiming that both Barcelona and Real Madrid wanted to sign the defender - and that City attempted to recruit him in January 2018 with a £47million bid.

Skriniar played every minute of last season for Inter and has made 44 appearances this time around, including in both Champions League group stage matches against Tottenham.

Inter are currently third in Serie A and are locked in a fierce top-four battle, with Atalanta in fourth just a point behind them, while rivals AC Milan are three points adrift in fifth with two matches to play.
