Arsenal and West Ham have both been linked with Rafael Benitez in recent weeks.

Manuel Pellegrini, meanwhile, is under increasing pressure at West Ham following a poor run of domestic form.

That fee would realistically end the prospect of either club making a move for Benitez.

The Chinese club would reportedly be in line to receive a buyout of over £20million if Benitez did decide to leave his job - though he is reportedly happy currently in China after just five months in the job.

At the London Stadium, however, he is second favourite to be the next manager after Pellegrini, just behind Eddie Howe in the rankings according to the bookies.

Benitez is said to have admirers at Arsenal, though is thought to be lower down their list of potential candidates, with Max Allegri currently rumoured to be the frontrunner.

The Gunners have sacked Unai Emery, with Freddie Ljungberg put in charge in an interim role until the club's hierarchy can decide on the direction in which to take the club.
