Following the 1-0 win over the Magpies, Arsenal head coach Unai Emery had an injury update on Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding.

Hector Bellerin is also continuing his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury, with the defender hoping to return to training in October, as is new arrival Kieran Tierney who continues to undergo further treatment following a double hernia operation, and complications during the summer.

Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Saturday, when they face Sean Dyche's Burnley.

Dani Ceballos overcame a kick sustained in the loss against Barcelona to make an appearance off the bench, while deadline day signing David Luiz was an unused substitute.

Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were all substituted at St James' Park but no injury has been reported on the trio and look set to be available against the Clarets.

Arsenal have since provided an injury update on their official website, where there is some good news for players aiming to be back in action soon.

Today we had Sead [Kolasinac] out and Kieran Tierney injured.
